Twitter is about participating – by which I mean you tweet and read other people’s tweets. Then you understand it, and get its rhythm. But remember: It is about being authentic. These things are human-shaped.
Twitter will not make sense without your participation. It is human shaped, with authentic, real people conversations. That said, businesses on Twitter need to be human shaped as well. Can a business be human shaped? If it recognizes that it’s made up of humans doing business with other humans I think it can.
Twitter like communication tools and services are already reshaping relationships between businesses and customers. The opportunity is huge for the small business that gets the value of being human.
Humanize your business, be real, authentic and honest. Connect and care about your customers because they are the ones that keep your business flowing.
